Theatre Siena

Siena Heights has established a national reputation in theater and offers two degree options in one program: Theater/Speech Communications and Theater/Musical Theater. The faculty are working professionals in every major area of today’s theater market. Theatre Siena has an ambitious production schedule that has students immersed in productions throughout the academic year.

The SHU Theatre Department at Siena Heights University also offers scholarships at one of the best Midwest college theater programs. High school seniors and transfers who plan to major in Theater/Musical Theater can schedule an audition during their campus visit.

With an acclaimed faculty boasting a wealth of practical experience, the program has become one of the most renowned in the region. While courses such as Modern Dance, Shakespeare and Stage Management are good starting points, there's nothing in acting like first-hand experience.

Students have a chance to partipate in Theatre Siena productions in both the fall and winter, with the historic Croswell Opera House in town, there are other opportunities to take the stage.

The Francoeur Theater hosts the on-campus shows, but smaller productions are also hosted in the innovative Stubnitz Lab Theater.
